Okay, so in BF2S stats it says a # of deaths/kills with a weapon or vehicle. Is this the death/kill while HOLDING or BEING INSIDE vehicle or KILLED BY that weapon or vehicle? If it is the first...then it's stupid if ya ask me..

So just makin sure, which one?

Weapons:

Kills by specific weapon / Deaths while holding specific weapon

Vehicles

Kills while in vehicle (not necessarily inflicted by that vehicle) / Deaths while in vehicle

Stats for killed by "insert weapon here" would be sweet, but is not provided

I've always wanted to know what people kill (how many tanks, jets, chopper, infantry...etc) and what they get killed by.

yeah, Robin is dead on.  just to elaborate a bit on the "Kills while in vehicle (not necessarily inflicted by that vehicle)"...

if you put down a claymore or AT mine, then get into a vehicle...if someone is then killed by your mine, it'll give you credit as a vehicle kill.  it'll even show up as "ThomasMorgan [FAV] =Robin-Hood=".  this also holds true for people you kill using arty as commander.  i'm not entirely sure about C4 kills though and there are probably other instances where it happens as well, but those are just a couple examples i can think of off the top of my head.

It's retarded, I know, but blame EA as that's where the stats come from. Shame as I couldn't care less what weapon I was holding when I died, I just want to know what I was killed with.

really, does it matter ? Even if you knew what weapon you get killed  the most with, what would you gain from that ?

Well with that arguement, what's the point of any stat?

My point was that the current method is essentially worthless and that the other method would actually be interesting.

@ Viper

Well what do you hope to learn from that stat? Which gun is the most effective or most used in the game, because you get killed by it the most frequent? Does that stat says anything about your stats?

The only thing you can gain is having a global idea about gun usage and efficacy on the maps you frequent most. This would indeed be interesting to know as a global feature, but it doesn't really say something about your personal efficacy with the gun.

The stats you get now does... In a way. It tells you while playing with a certain weapon how many can you eliminate before being killed yourself. It is not very clear and doesn't calculate everything, but gives you a fair idea, doesn't it?

Anyways my 2 cents

Cheers,
R
