Other than the wierd lag i now get i realy like the new sounds. It realy sound alot better when your in an armored vehicle.
Downloaded patch from dutch server IKS; 4 minutes; installing; 6 minutes. then when in game; hee presto after 1 kill; 4 times rank up; and 4 unlocks; im happy; now up for the pistol. knife and C4 badge and aviator; lil laggy in servers sometime. ..but for most i am happy with all the visual and sound improvements..and the ingame new name extension; ty for now EA.
Yeah nice patch, really like the sound of the gun barrell of the tank when you turn it around, I always think "where's that jeep???" I crack myself up really hahahaha
New Name Tag prefix...I didn't enter anything in there yesterday, and it came up with the one I used the night before. So once you enter a prefix, it seems to keep it till you change it again. I like that.

i like just about everything the patch has to offer, wake island, naming the flags the prefix you can add.the only problem i have is the ranking now its too easy, but other than that pretty satisfied.
I love this new patch also and the neww ranking. It rocks. Way to go EA, keep it up.

This is the most complete patch I have ever seen ! I am NEVER satisfied in any updates etc. but this time I must admit that those guys have really done work, GOOD work !

A very good patch - except for the "red bug", the increased lag (I had nearly NO lag before) and the fact squad members are still team-switched when there are plenty LoneWolfs...

what i really like about this is it makes it all more fun, rather than to keep trying to pad scores up to rank up.. and well, for people like me who play so badly at it, getting the unlocks earlier makes it more enjoyable.
i am definitely going to play it as i would try to enjoy a game rather than to watch my stats and rank..

One question - I'm nearly a Staff Sergant, I mean it, I know I'm only a Lance Corporal at the moment. I'll still get three unlocks right? Havn't really had a real go on the new patch, but I like what I see. It was kind of ridiculous how you have to times your score by ten to go from lance corporal to corporal. Also, the medals have been made sensibly easier. I mean, for that big gaudy star thing you would of had to play 3000 hours in specific roles! That was ridiculous! Can't wait to have a go. I reckon I could get quite a few new badges.

Its not so much the additional ranks, though I cant complain. I like the improved gameplay features such as requiring squads to dismout from vehicles to take flags faster and the slower wrench rate on the helos. It just seems to me a little more strategic...a little.
I love the new patch. I downloaded it and went into the game, of course i haven't gotten rank yet, i just played on the bf2s server and nobody was on, but I was trying out some of the new features. I think the mouse is a bit snappier, the Apache (or Super Cobra) is a bit easier to fly i think, either that or im just getting better. Wake Island is really nice. Overall i'm very happy about this patch.
Great patch, nothing to say. Just one thing I don't like at all. Before the patch I was used to join servers with All-seeing eye. But now it's not possible because of the welcome message from EA coming up each time I lunch the game. I find this "feature" not useful. Anyone knows how to by-pass it?Thx
Try Search - seen a link with help to xfire, All-Seing Eye etc. etc.
O.M.G. The FAV sounds so beasty now. I use to pass it over for DPV's whenever possible just to get the sound and speed. Now FAV's sound faster, even though they aren't

i love the new patch, i used to be an lc, but now im an SSG!! hehehe, 700 more pts and gunny sarge here i come! , it's so easy to get ribbons and badges now, good job ea!
I'm pretty happy with it. Went up two ranks the first game I played. Seems to be pretty reliable too. I'm glad EA is supporting BF2 so much.
the patch is great the only problem is the EA message thing as now i cant use the allseeingeye to launch the game other than that is great!!!
