I thought anything by Duncan Falconer was good.

Also, Eight Lives Down by Major Chris Hunter.

Sniper One is a fucking ace book.

Aside from that, when I was in school I loved the Darren Shan Saga, and Philip Pullman wasn't bad either.

I have read Flaggermusmannen, Kakkerlakkene og Snømannen by Nesbø. I've ordered the rest of his books. Good writing.
Also a fan of Guillou's Hamilton series. I will start at book no 8 as soon as I read the rest of Nesbø's Hole crimes.
I found Stieg Larsson's books very easy to read, exiting and impossible to put away. Read all three under a month or so.

Although I have read a lot of books in my 28 years, the series that I enjoyed pretty much was the complete Foundation series by Isaac Asimov (7 books, without including the parallel sagas for Empire and Robots).

I also may include as recommendation the complete bookwork of Carlos Castaneda (a Hispanic shaman, very popular in the 70's), it's made of 9 books.

I pretty much recommend it to you guys

I finished "Brave New World" a few days ago after reading 1984 and it nearly blew my damn mind at how close it resembles today's society, especially bearing in mind the fact that the book was written 1931.

I read the Noughts and Crosses series when i was young, by Malorie Blackman (who did Pig Heart Boy i think?) that was really good.
