So I'm trying to play so frigging Left 4 Dead today and I keep getting disconnected from the dedicated servers. Seriously, I tried to play on four different servers and all for times I've been disconnected. Does this maybe have something to do with the recent update, or is it just me?
I've had recent problems with lag. It's become so frequent that I doubt it's a bad server. The lag eventually disconnects me.
If you are the lobby leader, then this might be a bug. Cause whenever I try to join on a dedicated servers a s lobby leader it kicks me within the first minute due to connection problems. Crappy system..

Okay, I have found a solution to my lag but I find it a 'solution' because I just like joining random games.
Open the Console and type in 'sv_search_maxping 100' or 150 or whatever ping you can tolerate.
For me, this was a perfect solution. May take a bit longer to join a game but you will not lag as much
I usually just select 'Quick Game' anyway and I'm usually in a server within seconds
