People wan't cheap prices... I guess with globalization there are no guarantees of job or company stability...
I guess the best bet is to try and stay valuable and flexible... and be willing to do whatever type of work you can find until a job in your industry opens up.... I am living proof of that right now...lol...

What happens if the third world discovers books and learns how to program computers as well as answer phones?

Globalisation = the people at the top get richer and richer, the people doing the work get poorer and poorer.

I didn't say if i thought globalization is good or bad...it's just just the way it is, and i have no control over big business.
Only what i can do myself by learning and making myself as valuable as i can. I'm starting to believe that life isn't fair but you can make it as good as it can be by bettering yourself and taking advantage of opportunities when available.

Or you could be a man of ideals and fight for what you believe in like Ché Guevara... I'm not holding Communism up as a poster boy for revolutionism but he shows you what you can achieve if you stand up and question the way things are done. Did globalisation just creep up on us and catch us all off guard? This wool has been pulled over our eyes by the same people who smiled on our doorsteps and asked for our votes.

I was with you until the Ché Guevara part...lol
I wonder how he would feel about the capitalization of his likeness and the money people have made from it?
I also believe that it's not about me... it's about how i affect other people and how i can be a benefit to other people by giving something
back and not just taking for my own benefit. Learning a skill of trade and being a benefit to society.

Communism doesn't work and that has been proven throughout history. I'll stick with Capitalism, warts and all
