At 12:25am the day the 1.21 patch was release i downloaded it(thank you FilePlanet), played online for a few minutes(7 ish) then signed off for some sleep. I went back and played the next day online, trying to find bugs, when the game crashes. And now, everytime i hit "Join Server/Game" for a multiplayer only game, i get kicked to desktop, and this ONLY happens once a connection to a server has been established. Singleplayer loads, just not MP. Anyone got a clue?

Note- I Don't have all my BF2 & SF disks with me(spring break and what not), so a re-boot is out of the question.
I changed only the English.utxt so it will say what you were TK by, restored it but still no-go
I got 3gb of Ram &  latest drivers for my SLI-6600GTs

try re applying the 1.21 patch & see what happens, without your disks I dont know what else to tell ya.
I'd search the forums for similar problems , I seem to recall a few threads where people had the same problem.

I patched it again, and i got a BF2CDCHECK.EXE has caused an error. I have never had that happen before. So, what does that mean, I must re-install?

I get the same thing everytime i play it at first, but when i log back onto bf2 it will run fine again.....

Same basic issue here - crashes hard (locks entire computer) after updating with the patch. Yikes.

I have a similar problem except I cant even load the server page. As soon as I start it it goes to black screen to try to connect and crashes to desk top. I have unistaled and reistalled 9 times and unistalled and reinstalled video card and dirextx have done everything they have suggested and still nothing goes. I had absulutly no problems prior to the 1.21 patch.
