Well maybe that's testimonial of how much money politicians make. They are supposed to be servants to the people, not the other way around. Perhaps that is why most senators have no ambition to become the president, its a fucking pay cut. There should be term limits for senators as well. Actually, I am quite conservative and personally favor less government. However, it is hard to argue that both parties are corrupt and that bipartisan politics gets us nowhere. I did not vote for Obama but now that he is my president I will support him. As far as long term senators go, if they have so much knowledge then why can't they accomplish a whole lot?
