So we lived of credit for a while...not so much now.  So how much of this economic adjustment is because people are suffering?  Or is they suffering because their concept of a shitty standard of living is only three kids, only two flat screen tvs, and forcing your kids to share the third car?

I agree that we have become spoiled and what we consider having to suffer because we are cutting back would be a very high standard of living for many others.  However, I wouldn't say she was bitching about it, and at least recognize that they didn't have the fourth child when they knew they may not be able to to afford it.

It wasn't that long ago that I wanted to strangle a couple I saw at the grocery store.  They were there with their 3 kids, and she was preggo.  I watched as they paid for their food with food stamps.  I mean seriously, you have to use food stamps to pay for food as it is, and you got your wife knocked up again!?

Then it really pissed me off when I happened to follow this same couple to the convenience store just down the road and he goes into the store and buys a case of beer...paying cash naturally.

lol... i know what you are talking about...it's like seeing dumpy, trashy "mobile homes"(trailers) with a sweet ride parked out front.  People who have their priorities totally mixed up.  My assumption is that they are leasing that nice vehicle and will have it towed away as soon as the leasing company figures out what low income apartment complex they live in this month.

More than just one truck driver, as a nation supposedly suffering from finacial ruin, we are stampeding stores for TV's and not food.

We Americans, are spoiled rotten to the core. Our brand of suffering, in other parts of the world, people should get so lucky.

As mentioned many times, we are a nation of entitlement. If yo do not see this, then you are the one in a bubble.
