I really want to try this overclocking business
I wanna give this a try, but only have a stock CPU heatsink and fan. Can I tinker around just a little bit without problems? Or should I buy an aftermarket cooling system immediately before I even start?
I have a jumper for sys fan and was wondering, if you DO hook up a fan to that jumper, where does the fan usually go? ATM all I have is a stock CPU fan, and two case fans. Where does one put a system fan?some_random_panda wrote:
Anyone know of a program I can use to monitor my cpu temp? I'm hesitant to up the core voltage/fsb because I'm new to this and I don't have a system fan.
How does one update BIOS? I assume go to the mfg website and download a newer version of BIOS for the board type? Then...Hopefully it'll include install directions.DeathUnlimited wrote:

Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
