this is getting really on my nerves...like my ping is not really good (always 170) on any reason??? but i can play with that..but my real problem is when a new map is loaded and i enter the game i'm like freezing for around 10 - 15 seconds....and you can imagine is there any enemy around u thats it.....

anyone knows the reason for that or maybe got an answer for me???


if hardware could be the reason i am using a amd dual core at 2ghz and a crappy 6600 video card (256mb) and a gb of ram....connection is t1

its cramming all the textures into that 1gb of ram, i had the same problem; but if you mean that after you load a map, and after the initial lag and after spawning , you are still frozen for xx secs, then i dunno.

ihad the same prob till i went from 1 gig to 2 gig of ram.

and i had 6800 gt and 3400+ cpu.

its all about the ram baby.

I have pings around 50 to 60, and guess what, I only have 512 Mbs, that right Mb, and 256MBps connection. Ping has nothing to do with the amount of ram you have.  Try pinging the server IP via a command line and see what your rate is.  Also, check with your ISP to se if they can have you routed to a different router.
