Good news for South Texas

I just got back from this announcement ceremony. This is massive in terms of economic impact in my neck of the woods. Our city has access to port, railway and other transportation, the natural resources needed for the plant, and the market in which TPCO operates.
During the speech this was said: Two to three years ago, the Chinese investment in US based facilities was about $500M to date, while the US has invested over $200B over in China. This investment will be about $1B.
Adding 600 new management jobs will also increase opportunities for supporting industries and other employment areas.
Since one of the naval bases is closing in the region, this is excellent news for the local economy. I'm gonna toot the horn here, as I'm participating in a task force to bring 7000 new jobs to the region within the next five years.
Do you think we will see more international investments like this in the near future?
