But no game since BF2 has really touched the crowning glory of variety and scale, not even 2142 had the same magic... "the better Valve" game, TF2 is nowhere near as bland as Left 4 Dead, in my opinion. TF2 may be inherently repetitive but there's tons more variety and choice of classes/weapons, far more maps -- stock and custom -- and different types of gameplay. Plus the multiplayer dynamic of TF2 is hugely challenging and far more varied and ever-changing, L4D's campaigns are linear even though there are a few game-feature gimmicks to side-step this staggering lack of content. The Versus mode doesn't really entertain me, it holds the same appeal and novelty factor that Crysis or Farcry 2 Multiplayer does for me.Fat_Swinub wrote:

Lolwat. Tf2is way better than bf2. Especially in terms of blandness. Tf2 has a huge range of completely different classes which play completely different to eachother, have there own tactics and each one of them is like a new game. In bf2 all games are in a generic war zone with classes that differ by a different gun or so. They pretty much all play the same. Tf2 blander than bf2? I don't think so.Fat_Swinub wrote:

I played CS:S a lot, but I still like L4D for all its repetitivenessDefCon-17 wrote:
I wonder how many of the people who think L4D is repetitive have enjoyed playing Counter Strike.
