This movie was utter shit in most aspects. The monsters looked like they were from Clash of the Titans, and the main baddy had the acting proficiency of Macho man Randy Savage combined with Ben Stein. The story didn't tie with the first one, the plot was bland at best, and the actors were shit. The only saving grace was a little bit of humor spread about like sprinkles on a shit cake.

The Day the Earth Stood Still - 4/10 - Stupid remake. The movie was a whole lot of self-contradictory nothing. It had potential, but it failed to capitalise on any of it.
X-Files: I Want to Believe - 5/10 - The only reason why this gets even a 5 is because it has Mulder and Scully. The movie itself was about as far as possible from what makes X-Files appealing. They flipped the whole concept around. The story is supposed to drive the relationship between Mulder and Scully, not the other way around. The movie was too sappy, and it seems like what little "X" there was in the movie was just there to qualify it as an X-Files movie.
Hancock - 4/10 - What the hell was that? This dude goes from raging alcoholic to recovering alcoholic to upstart superhero, which is a fine premise for a movie. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough. After no more than one single superhero act, the story changes completely, and the last third of the movie seems like it's taken out of a completely different script. A slow build-up to an inconsequential scene, followed by a frantic rush through an ending so packed with plot holes and poor writing that I ended up with a "wtf?" feeling when leaving the theatre.
Body of Lies - 6.5/10 - It's an action thriller. It does what it says on the box. Decent action, but largely predictable plot, with a story and setting that I couldn't really get into.
The Dark Knight - 8.5/10 - This is one pretty great movie. Apart from a few silly moments, the action and acting were great, the Joker was refreshingly insane and wonderfully acted, and it was long enough to enjoy and leave me with plot paths that I didn't expect.
That was the last week or so. Gonna go catch Quarantine tomorrow while it's still in theatres.
