This was too good not to post here:
Hurray for a concerned citizen, armed, with the attitude, skill, and mindset to help.
EDIT Here is another one on the story
Those of you who wish to argue that a bottle is not a deadly weapon have been watching too much tv and too many movies. It is not unusual for a skull to give in before a bottle breaks.OCOEE -- Police said a man trying to hold up a convenience store Monday night was shot and killed by a customer.
According to police, the customer walked into the Kangaroo Express on Franklin Street at around 11 p.m. Monday, when he saw the man trying to rob a female clerk.
That was when the witness, identifying himself as Chris, said he ran back to his car to grab a gun, and shot the robber.
"She has a knot in the back of her head. She was being hit with a beer bottle," Chris said. "She was being attacked, and I thought the gentleman had a gun. So I fired two shots."
"This teaches people right now that want to go out and rob stores: You never know who's going to be in the parking lot," Chris said. "So people who want to go out and rob, and do things stupid like this, they might want to think about the consequences that somebody else may bring to them."
The witness is not facing any charges, but police are looking into whether he obtained the gun legally
