Choose the lesser of two evils.  Also, Bush had a very good first 4 years.  Most of America liked/supported him.

Another think, Kerry was not stable in the sense that he would not take a stand on issues.  He would say one thing today, then change his stand tomorrow.  When asked what his plan was for Iraq, he said that he would reveal it if he was elected.  That is not what a true leader would say.  He would at least reveal some of the plan to the American people.

good article, slightly off topic though...

btw, it should not come as a surprise that most politicians are kinda elitists. A lot of those at top level positions are career politicians, members of powerful families with ties to politics dating back to the beginning of the 20th century ( or even farther back ).

They are used to having a say in how the country is run, and used to getting special treatment for decades.

The same is true for those who make the transition from a top position in a company to politics. Vice President Cheney happens to be the CEO ( or was the CEO ) of Haliburton. Coincidence ? You'll be the judge...

When was the last time someone from a poor family with no ties whatsoever to business or politics was elected president ? Hasn't happened lately, has it ? Elitists like to keep to themselves...

Btw, I am not really sure wether that's a bad thing. Every country on this planet is run by the elite of that country. The important thing is, of course, that the elite are really those who are the best and not just those who are the richest / most powerful.

For example, GWB wasn't really the best of his class, and his success as a businessman was limited. As far as I can recall, he hadn't any...( correct me if you want ).

He still became president. Why ?  well, I think because as a member of the Bush clan, he had access to some of the best power connections in america today ( and I don't mean electrical power. ).
THe elitists take care of each other, and they make sure they stay a small group.

I can't deny the truth of it, but I don't have to like it.
