my Steam account's name is Sup.....xxxx and I was able to log in with sup.....xxxx. It preserved all my settings and everything. But how can "S" be the same as "s"? Any ideas why is that?
I think capitals only matter in the password.

I think only @Steam it is that way. If I try to login on any web site, I need to input exact user name. Well thanks for answers. Oh one more thing; when I created a group on Steam, I also uploaded a 184x184 pic but Steam seems to reduce its size and with it its quality which sucks. Anyway to go around that and have a better quality group pic?

They can pass your user name through a simple passer that changes all your characters to lower or upper case so it doesn't matter.
That way they don't have SuBjfuT as a username, but something that looks a bit better and more readible like subjfut.
