Badly need some help on this issuse, cant get BF2 to join a server due to PB kicking me.
Since Vista SP1 came out, I'm having to run BF2 in Win98 mode, any other mode the game won't even start. I've tired all the modes, plus running as admin etc etc. So I now have the game running I can play in Single Player all day long, but, when I join a server online I get kicked for "You have been Kicked via Punkbuster (for 0 minutes)... Restriction: Service Abnormality"
After alot of searching, opened a ticket to evenbalance, still no good.
System is Vista x64, punkbuster A + B are in : BF2 folder, Sys32, SysWOW64, all have full access, no firewall, no anti-virus. Still cant join a server.
I have tired making PB A+B working as win95/98/XP SP2/win2000/Winserver 2003/Vista normal
For Bf2 all of the above only win98 works.
Re-installed/uninstalled/ reinstalled BF2 plus patch plus PB still no good. I get that error.
Punkbuster is really getting at me now, being forced to use something that doesnt work with very/little no help if something goes wrong.
