@Unzique: The famine their wasn't the only thing killing people off, it was also the Khamer Rouge systematically emptying the cities and killing those they didn't like or work hard enough. Of course, unquestionably. The fact is that some historians are a little iffy on the figures: the death toll from US-related excursions and bombings kinda blends in historically with the overall death-toll of the Khmer Rouge / Pol-Pot and the Camodian famine. Some actually argue that the Cambodian famine was partly caused by agricultural destruction and other small additional factors caused by US action. I'm not really sure how credible the claim is, but I just like ping-ponging back and forth the 'Blame Stick' when we're all Western countries rinsed in long-histories of massacres, genocides and imperialism.
