That's pretty much AQ's credo isn't it?
no.  they PURPOSELY target civilians and such.  i thought you would be smart enough to figure that out.

Not proven at this point.
WHAT!!?? One of the captured terrorists SAID Belgium was the site of one of their targets...How much more proof do ya want? Or is the only way to prove it is to actually let it happen?

Get back to the basis of my posts instead of dismissing it because you need proof they were going to attack Belgium before you comment. Lets just assume the admittion by the terrorist they were going to attack Belgium is proof enough for now.

Intelligence agencies are the only effective way to fight a stateless organisation intent on disrupting things.

Conventional armies don't work.

Lastly: When I say take the gloves off I mean it buuuuuuuuut... They do need to be absolutely sure of a targets guilt before they go after it. Gitmo was a hell of a fuckup.

Smash her face in for what? Telling you the truth, OR ignoring PC while she does it?

Really? US military lost the Tet? Khe Sahn? Far as I'm aware the US military won the majority of every engagement it came across. The South coming under control of the North came after the US had signed a peace agreement, which the North broke. Politically the US lost, they did not militarily. There's a reason NVA/VC death figures are several times higher than that of the US.

The US didn't win and withdrew, leaving the NVA undefeated. Sounds like they lost to me.
Doesn't matter how many battles you win, if you lose the war you still lost.

According to Robert McNamara "the achievement of a military victory by U.S. forces in Vietnam was indeed a dangerous illusion."
I reckon he knew what he was talking about.

You said they didn't win militarily, which they did. They withdrew after a peace treaty was made, not before.

Please feel free to ignore me, it would be a pleasure.
In fact that's what I requested if you remember.
I just love the questionable sense of self-importance; king of clueless debate and nil insight has an IGNORE LIST?!?!? This surely is a tragedy for our fine upstanding community, when such an integral and intelligent poster decides to start completely ignoring people with the logic and rationale of a 13 year old!
