the reason cops have inexpensive souped up cars is because small communities need cop cars and dont have the tax money to pay for them, also many nearby communites in rural America share emergency vehicles.
The sheer number of cop cars is far greater than ambulances and firetrucks combined.

Bad idea unless you can sell the car for a reasonable price, and would you buy the car knowing its gonna get the shit beat out of it. Leather seats? cmon
