Is anyone experiencing this problem? It will let me select join friends and favorites but after it loads it kick me back to EA crappy server menu. I have to type in the IP address that my friends are on and join that way.

There is a temporary fix for this now via editing your xfire ini file. There is also a method for getting ASE to work as well.
