Hello there

I'm looking to buy a laptop for christmas and was wandering where the best place to buy one from is, (In England)

I have about £600 to spend on it. I wasnt sure of where the best place to buy it from, whether or not one of the new dell xps are worth it. I wasnt sure also if I should buy one with a blu ray drive or just a normal dvd one or one of the ones which can do both. If you could give me a few suggestions that would be great

Thanks

Is this laptop multi-regional, as in will I be able to play DVD's from the U.S and Europe on it without having to change the reigon and then it getting locked on one or the other.

If not can anyone recommend me a good program that allows you to watch both without changing the hardware. Does VLC media player allow you to watch both?

ASUS X57SR is a well specced laptop for the price, and so is the Samsung R700. Have a look around that website, see if you find any others that you like. The HP 6830s should also be another option for you to consider.

Also, you seem to like the idea of a Dell XPS, have a look at NDC.co.uk, who give discounts on Dell laptops. The M170 looks fairly good for £500. Be wary of this website though, it doesn't look very legit to me, your call.

From experience, they are cheaper than most but better than most.
