90% of this forum constantly bashes religion/Christianity yet when it comes to Christmas suddenly they're all religious and shit. It's not even supposed to be about the presents/money/buying shit/greed some of you people are a fucking joke.
huh
Christmas is about as sacred as marriage these days. Some people still go to church services but for a while it's basically been about, as you said, presents/money/buying shit/greed.
I don't know where you're getting this vibe that we're "all religious and shit."
Anyway, to answer the topic question, probably $100. I'd have a bigger budget but
1) Too many awesome games (and RB2 DLC) have been coming out which has eaten into what money I had
2) I haven't worked a lot of shifts at work recently cause of other stuff at school, so that means less money
I hope we get a Christmas bonus... that'd be nice. What sucks is that when we get our paychecks, we see how much money we've made this year to date. Last paycheck it said about $800 since August. I've spent almost all of it on... I don't even know!
Also, Miggle, you sound kinda jealous of killer21's kid. Hopefully when I'm older and have kids, I'll be well off enough to afford nice gifts for them (assuming they've been good kids). I'll teach them the value of money that's for sure, but why would I live well below my means?
What really irks me is when people get all raged because someone's parents are paying some or all of their kid's tuition. How the hell is it the kid's fault that their parents weren't fucking morons and saved money in a high-yield account for their kid's college costs? Or that their parents are very successful financially and can afford it? I hate sounding like a snob but my family can afford my college tuition at most state schools, and I am extremely grateful for it. I don't take it for granted; I'm going to save up and be smart about my finances so if I have kids, I can make sure they can get a good education.
