* Nov 19, 2008 5:32-5:51 AM: User izaktj reports CandyJunkie is trying to sleep. Miscers play around with the thought of calling the cops, but ultimately shrug off the issue and thread. CandyJunkie's webcam continues to roll as he lays motionless during the 6 hours the thread is ignored.
* Nov 19, 2008 12:04 PM: User baby_matty bumps thread, stating that CandyJunkie is "still laying there." Posters begin to suspect that CandyJunkie is no longer breathing because of the lack of movement on his webcam, pertaining to the expanding of the ribcage during respiration.

I'll be the first to say it. Only in Florida will this stuff happen. That said, I can only imagine the shock and awe of the people watching the live webcam as he died and then was invaded by the police.

The indifference that's generally displayed about a subject like this is disturbing. I've seen several things from that bodybuilding forum through links on 4chan. What it seems is that there are alot of /b/tards frequenting the bodybuilding forum. I can't say i'm too impressed at all with either board. The lack of moderation, and the fact that people really don't give a fuck attracts more people who don't care in a perpetual downwards-spiral. I don't think we'd ever get something like that happening here, because unlike the body-building forum, this one is full of mature people, heavily moderated and people do genuinely care, if not on a personal level.
Which leads me on to my next question. Why is it that no one cares? Why did they egg the poor bastard on, when clearly he wasn't thinking straight. For people to push him towards commiting suicide is sadistic. There is no other way to explain it. Looking through his MySpace comments from the above link gives a scary new sense of realism to it all... I had to close the window after the first few comments, there was something wrong about reading other people's pain and upset just out of my own curiosity and fascination. Sad when things like this happen - suicide in general - but so bizarre and harrowing that this was Internet broadcast and Internet recieved.
I know this probably isn't the place for such a question, but I'm really intrigued after reading his MySpace comments- would a person that committed suicide really "Rest in peace"? A lot of Christians remarked on his MySpace that he's in Heaven now looking down... but, strictly speaking, doesn't suicide = Hell? I'm pretty poor on my theology.
