I'd say this is what happened.

When you lay claymores (and i think AT mines? not sure) and you're in a vehicle you get the kill in the vehicle and it says you [vehicle] enemy. buggy little thing, dunno if it works with a hook line and gas though.

You can "kill" someone with a grappling hook, just like you can kill them with a wrench or coaxial machine gun.

Assuming no localization files were edited, all you have to do is get a road kill while that weapon is active. For instance, if you are in an M1A1, shoot a Vodnik, it catches on fire, the guy hops out, you start shooting the coaxial (right click) and the Vodnik blows up killing the guy, it gets listed as "Dude1 [co-axial machine gun] Dude2". As an engineer, if you threw a grenade at a damaged Vodnik, it catches on fire, you switch to your wrench and start wrenching something and the Vodnik blows up killing the guy, it gets listed as "Dude1 [Wrench] Dude2". It doesn't mean you kill the guy with the wrench, or killed the guy with the co-axial, or killed the guy with the grappling hook, it just means that weapon was active when you got the road-kill.

There are multiple explanations for why a kill would be listed as "Dude1 [Grappling Hook] Dude2", and none of them are because you actually killed someone with it.

Nyte, post the XML feed from the guy who you think killed you with the Grappling Hook, to see if he indeeds has a kill(s) with it.
