So if I buy this off Amazon with super saver delivery it will arrive Friday right?
So can any Survivors make it through Blood Harvest in Versus, or is that VS campaign just ridiculously imbalanced?
My eyes are going to fucking fall out. lol.
Death Toll is a bitch...then again so is every one so far...

Completed the first campaign on Expert earlier with the wotr / panache tf2 guys (who have been number one in premier league/LAN for about 3 seasons now- insane FPS players, utterly kickass to play with) and we had to retry the final Helicopter phase about 12 times... spent hours on it . So slow and cautious, with so much chaos! We finally 'finished' it... but only one made it onto the Helicopter, so 3 of us didn't get our achievement, d'oh!Poseidon wrote:

Doing another campaign tomorrow night . The game works fine when you sidestep Steam's awful Multiplayer interface and manually connect to a server with friends.

Finished the first campaign tonight as well with some pub scrubs. We started the difficulty on advanced and said "nahhh, too easy" and decided to step it up to expert. When we voted though, I think the game took it to easy. We re-voted expert. Nobody was really sure what difficulty it was on, but I'm positive the tanks, witches etc were expert.
Anyway, we completed it without any major hitches.
In response to Uzique..
Spoiler (highlight to read):
Helicopter phase - no issues, no deaths. All 4 guys had M16s, sitting on the rooftop with the minigun. plenty of undead, 2-3 tanks and enough hunters and boomers to go around. As the chopper game, we threw pipe bombs and ran like hell. 3 of us made it, we left the other guy to die.
I didn't think it was uber hard.

That must of been on Easy... on Expert there are constant waves, no breaks to restock on grenades (as is common in Advanced)- and there are hardly any spawns of ignitables or grenades (e.g. petrol tanks / gas canisters), so you really have to use them sparingly. I'm really surprised your team had enough pipes left for the Helicopter pick-up at the end of the '15 Minutes'... really doesn't sound like Expert to me .MadKatter wrote:

Expert AI has an uncanny ability of throwing Smokers, Hunters and Boomers at one person simultaneously. The number of times I've seen someone swarmed by a crowd of zombies, whilst being sucked up by a Smoker... only to be pounced on and ripped up by a Hunter... not pretty on Expert difficulty when you die in seconds from any significant hurt.

Leave that to CS:S players.
Um, what? We're discussing the epic-awesome last stage to the first campaign, comparing difficulties...DefCon-17 wrote:

I wasn't denigrating him, he suspected himself that the server somehow changed to Easy, I was just confirming the possibility based on his description.
This is starting to seem (how does a Forum thread make sound?) like an eagerness to be a douchenozzle.

No, it's understood. My team was a bunch of noob-sauce-cakes, at the end I had the best stat or 2nd best for every category. It's very possible that the level wasn't expert (perhaps difficulty only changes between stages?), but from what I recall, the tanks were as hard to kill as expert ones. Not sure why. I don't think the vote-to-change-difficulty feature works correctly.
On a more interesting note, I'm on the 4th stage of the 2nd campaign with a bunch of fucktards that shoot each other. I've been dead for a good 6 or so minutes (while I'm typing this) and still haven't spawned. The 3rd stage was rough, we started it over about 4 times.
Oh, by the way. Sewer pipes + shitload of zombies + crouch + m16, head level = LOL. I seriously covered a 200 ft pipe with zombie bodies in a clip and a half.

On the demo we had a lot of connection issues, and we couldn't get dedicated servers. I mean...frequent connection problems it took us 20 minutes to get a game together, and one of us always missed out. Is this problem fixed?
Not really. 'Tweaked' so now it bugs whilst you share the server with people that live on your continent, as opposed to anywhere in the world.Yellowman03 wrote:

Versus is so fun...I just hate spawning as a Hunter 6/10 times.
SO, I only got one friend to play with, would it still make sense to buy it?
Of course...you can always find other people (either here or through server/lobby searching).Sisco10 wrote:

I kinda wish I brought this through steam, I'm dying for it to come through my letterbox tomorrow!
My girlfriend is buying it for me tomorrow, so i'll be able to play with you guys! Yaaay!

Amazon sent me an email saying it has been dispatched. Hmm I might not go home for the weekend.
Maybe I was influenced by your "omg dey are pubnubs lolz" posts.Uzique wrote:

Sorry?
But are there decent people running around in the lobby, cause most internet goons are retardedPoseidon wrote:

At least I can count on the goons running around here, that´s true
Too bad I gotta wait at least another week for my payment before I can buy it. This month´s been too expensive. It sounds like it´s a really fun game to play.
Holy fuck I already have 26 hours of L4D.
Let's put it this way:
Playing with random people, the game gets 8.5/10.
Playing with people you know personally: 9.9/10 (No game is perfect.)
It's still fun (usually) playing with people you don't know online. There aren't many retards. If anything, they'll be new players getting used to L4D or FPS's in general. (In which case they get bashed by some pathetic little creature who spends his waking hours playing videogames)Sisco10 wrote:
