.. going to raves.

Only been to 4 so far, got my tickets already for 3 more. One tomorrow, another the next week, and then the New Years Eve Massive (Showtek live )

..and no i'm not just one of those e-tards that get fucked on too many pills and end up missing the whole night. I live for the music.

So, share some of your favorite tracks, and pictures too if you want.

Just some of the stuff I like..

DJ Isaac - Impressed (Seen them play it live, fucking epic)
Armin Van Buuren - Serenity
Lange ft sarah howells - Out of the sky
Showtek - Colors of the harderstyle
Alphazone - Flashback (Also seen them play it live, truly epic)

Post some of your favs.

And btw, for those of you that don't know, the subject title is in refernece to the song FTS (Fuck the system) by Showtek.

lets see...my favorite rave was called "Red or Blue"...kind of a matrix type title.

DJ Irene was tearing it up...shes probably the only DJ that i know by name that i like.

be careful there though....assholes like me lurk at those places.

I went to a silent disco once. Shit was crazy. I'm not really in to the whole house/rave/trance thing though.

Yeah, any event which includes techno-type music is awsm in my view. You should go to Ibiza this summer, Tiësto's the resident DJ at Privilege there.

He has been for a few seasons now, although Tiesto/Buuren are the pop-mainstream acts that attract all the non-electronic fans

<--- Saw Tiesto this year.

Far better club-nights to go out for... Judgement Sundays, the Fiesta Del Agua, Club Cocoon minimalism / German micro by the likes of Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos etc... great funky/Balearic house by the likes of Gui Boratto, and so on...

'Hardstyle' raves are generally fail. Anything with the 'Hard' genre prefix is normally synonymous with 'Shit Rave Based Around Drugs And Uncultured Electronica Swine Stamping In A Field'.

How many of these hard style raves have you been too ffs, some of the best "dance" producers started in the early 90's in muddy fields around the M25 &   i count myself lucky to have been to loads of them, i have seen Orbital, the orb, joey Beltran, moby, Mrs Wood, tsuyoshi Suzuki, Sid Shanti loads of the React Records guys n gals all in muddy fields so take your snobbery & fuck off or are all of those DJ's & producers all crap in your little perfect electronica world ffs grow up.

@ the op check any of those guys i have listed for a wide & varied selection of dance music. Especially Joey Beltran one of the good crop of early 90's US techno DJ's, Energy Flash is superb for its time (1991)

90's rave scene developing and bringing electronic music to the forefront is different to ketamine raves in fields listening to dutch gabber-terrorcore-shite.

Calm down, I'm not stepping on 90's groove

The rave I went to last night was Hard style.. Though it was in a indoor venue..

Although It was a blast, I sometimes wish they would play some other styles of music as well. It changes the mood of the rave and generally gets people who are sitting out back onto the dance floor.

And every rave is based around drugs and alcohol, but hard style raves do tend to feel more "dirty".
