Everyone is saying, study for the exams at the end, i'm not sure how the system works outside NSW, but here it works like this...

All your topic tests, assignmnets, half yearly exams, all count for 50% or your total mark

Then the trail HSC and the main HSC at the end, then add up to the remainder 50%

So its an ongoing process, and yeah....

At the end, you end up getting a mark out of 200 for the course, that mark is then scaled on the dificulty of the course,

Then your top 10 units out of however many your doing, after scaling, is then added up, and put into a list and wherever you are on that ranked order list, is your UAI. Which is the score that gets you into unis.

Tazz, once again best of luck. Do your best, but dont forget that it is still just year 12. As bad as it may seem, not doing well isnt the end of the world. All I am trying to say is, dont let it get to you/dont burn yourself out. There are always other ways to get into the course you want.

But obviously getting good marks is 100000000% better

hsc is completely fucked (because of the retarded scaling)

i didnt even try in engineering (never went to class- didnt do any assignments- in the final exam, i Guessed all the multiple choice 15 or so questions and drew pictures for the rest of the hour) and i got a mark of 50 lol
