What I am hearing is that COD WaW is the closest replacement to BF2 so far, yet nobody will tell me about map size, MP size, and if you are free to roam in it?
What I also hear is there is no replacing BF2 until BF3 which is not even in the works?

No, but they are making a patch for BF2, which will make it harder to haxxz0r, fix imbalances and add a new map.
Unfortunately no patch will be able to fix the shitty map rotations so many servers have or the insistence that friendly-fire be turned on, and other problems caused by lame server admins.

Honestly I have found no game yet that really replaces BF2 for MP combat. I currently play Bad Company on my PS3 as I await a good replacement to be released. Anyone know when and what that replacement will be? I thought I heard Bad Company would be released for PC later, but Bad Company is a crappy replacement for BF2 unless they just remake BF2 using Bad Company's game engine.
Any who, I guess the jest of this serious thread is what are you all playing now and what is up and coming to replace BF2? Do a review if you have FarCry 2 or something. I didn't bother trying it because I thought Crysis sucked ass from playing the demo and FarCry didn't look to be epic in terms of battlefield combat.
