He did.. but lame asses seem to think that if you are unlicensed then there is now way you can be doing that job. I can only assume they have never hired a contractor. Or they are just not smart enough to know the difference.usmarine wrote:

I was bashing the screwdriver, not Palin.Kmarion wrote:

Do you really think the decision to use Palin was aimed at moderate "on the fencers". I'm telling you whoever made that decision is responsible.. hands down. Palin ran exactly as they expected her to. But again, things were tanking for McCain long before Palin. It's a pretty well documented fact.cpt.fass1 wrote:
Not for nothing but it was Palin who lost it for McCain.. Hands down alot of on the fencers, just thought about his age and life experance and were very worried about her actually becoming the president..
She was running off of being an Average Jane, which nobody wants to be our Vice President or have a chance of becoming the president.. So hopefully we dodged that bullet and off chance that it might have happened. I think we've really seen the last of her.
Even so Palin still did what she was supposed to. The people who run Presidential campaigns are supposed to be political all-stars, the best at what they do. Arguably they are more important than the candidates (yes I said it). That is why being the most electable person is not always indicative of who is the best person for the job. The lack of foresight was to blame for McCain's loss. They were constantly chasing Barry up until the point of desperation. A good political strategist could have distanced his candidate from the incumbent. It's been done many times before, even in times of war. You're going to tell me that this is because Palin didn't get the "Hillary votes". I think not. Obama had better campaign leaders, there is absolutely no doubt there. And that is why the GOP was dealt a crushing defeat.cpt.fass1 wrote:
Yeah well he lost any real hope in the 2004 election.. But yes I do belive that Palin was aimed at picking up the Hillary supporters, but was way too right to actaully motivate them to vote for McCain.. That's why this election was run with the Obama vs. Palin in the media with McCain sitting on the side line..
I'm not saying that they left McCain out of it, but Palin was a main focal point more then any VP before.
You've gotta respect McCain for that. Obama supporter or not, it was very remarkable to see he accepted defeat the way he did.Burwhale the Avenger wrote:
JOHN McCain's aides unceremoniously tipped the bucket on Sarah Palin yesterday, portraying her and her family as Alaskan "hillbillies" while it was revealed that the controversial vice-presidential candidate thought Africa was a country. The Australian wrote:
Recriminations are inevitable after an electoral failure this grand, but even so, Senator McCain's senior staff -- looking to deflect blame -- went for the jugular, telling journalists in off-the-record briefings that Ms Palin, whom they had already characterised as a rogue diva, spent more than the reported $US150,000 ($216,000) on clothes, shoes and jewellery for herself and her family. The Australian wrote:
Fox News reporter Carl Cameron disclosed yesterday that McCain insiders told him during the campaign that Ms Palin could not name any of the three countries that form the North American Free Trade Agreement -- the US, Mexico and Canada -- and did not know that Africa was a continent and not a country.Looks like the Blame Game has started, and despite John McCains best efforts to be gracious and take the blame for the election loss onto himself, his Senior Staff have other ideas. This will completely kill off any chance of Palin 2012 happening. The Australian wrote:
The merciless attack on Ms Palin -- who aides said was also given to frequent "temper tantrums" -- comes in retaliation for what McCain's staff considered a treasonous act by Ms Palin's team in the final weeks of the campaign.
McCain aides believe Ms Palin decided to look after her own political image -- she has her eyes set on the 2012 presidential campaign -- by leaking to the media that she had been "mishandled" by McCain's campaign -- particularly Ms Wallace and chief strategist Steve Schmidt -- in the disastrous interview she did with newsreader Katie Couric. The media in turn lapped up the story of a campaign unravelling, distracting Senator McCain's campaign.

It's pretty sad the way everyone runs with it, and I'm sure now that someone posted it it's taken as fact. Bunch of lemmings.Kmarion wrote:

Not to alleviate any blame for failures made, but it sure didn't hurt Obama to have almost all the mainstream press in the tank for his campaign.Kmarion wrote:
McCain's campaign lost it before you ever heard the word Palin. I really don't understand why people can't see that. The best I can figure is that their hate for Palin has consumed their ability to see the obvious. Now people in McCains staff are saying that he should have focused more on the economy. They are the same ones who were saying that he should have hit Obama harder on Ayers/Wright before. It's no wonder those idiots lost it for him. They epitomize the word loser.
Yea well, what's the alternative? Conservatives can't bitch about the possibility of a fairness doctrine and then on the other hand stifle free speech. With the media it's caveat emptor.Vax wrote:

She's why they lost, no one can take her seriously. I mean there was a prank call on her, a porn video made based on her and the media made a joke out of her. McCain chose her out of desperation.
