When I join a server in my favorites list, I'm treated to a view of my desktop and BF2 is crashed.

ummm no!! is ur pc a EA games made one cuz my pc runs uber fast no crashes.
Ummm thanks for that, I am sure it was very helpful. I have not had any CTD problems with the new patch, but I have noticed a large increase in my "problems with your connection" messages since the patch came out.SoldierJAW wrote:

It has happened a couple times, and after the first time I reinstalled the patch and thought that the fact that it didn't happen when I tried immediately after meant it worked. I now believe it was some sort of issue with the Team HAF server I was trying to join. However, I can still join that server 75% of the time. Who knows.
