dude seriously you're an ass.. Oh great so as long as anyone is touching a car since driving is a right we hold the "right" to violate your personal freedoms.. You can't justify it USMarine you're a scared little coward who wants the government to protect us how ever they deem necessary, and allow them to trample on our rights.. You are a poor excuse for an American.
Are you going to be happy when peoples houses get raided in the middle of the night, because having housing isn't a right..
Now you're questioning my integrity. Yeah and everything that passes into LAW shouldn't be question, it should just be deemed necessary and right. Again man you are everything that the people who started this country were against..usmarine wrote:
A) we dont know what the cop said for sure.
B) maybe they are allowed by LAW to do safety checks/stops?
Then they are completely within their right, as enumerated through much case law regarding the 4th Amendment and DUI checkpoints.cpt.fass1 wrote:

Well not for nothing he didn't say it was a DUI check point, it was because they were stopping every 10th car going through the tunnel.. Well lets allow laws this country was based on slip by and by because they deem that our forefathers didn't know about the technology in the future.. It's basic rights..KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

ok...fine. then if we are going by what the founders wanted literally, then black people are not human and we should all get slaves.cpt.fass1 wrote:

a) accodring to captain, i am everything the founders were against because i dont think a DUI stop is illegal
b) since we are going off what the founders wanted, the founders said blacks were not humans.
therefore, since we do not pick and choose what to follow, we have to follow what they wanted right?
human rights? good lord man.cpt.fass1 wrote:

if it is within the law, then no. i mean, the law is made by who we elect.
This isn't religion, it's politics and one of the things you have to watch for is a gradual violation of Human Rights.. Once it starts it's hard to stop and it's already started..
So if they passed a law stateing that it's ok to stop and search anyone that they wantted to.. It's not a violation of Human Rights?

So you guys are into bigger government? Again I said they were probably looking for DUI's but it was not a DUI stop, it was a random stop to check papers the cop told me.. It's 1984 stuff and a violation against Human Rights.. Even a DUI stop is a violation of Human Rights because there is no Due cause..

keeps me from getting hit my some asshole with no insurance, causing me to foot the damned bill
So why stop there. Lets start stoping people in the streets, any one of them could be carrying a knife or gun and stab people and obviously life is worth more then money.. So it makes sense..Schwarzelungen wrote:

even you said they didn't stop everyone at the DUI stop.
people like me who mind our own business and comply with laws haven't had anything to worry about IMO
Why stop at looks suspicious? Most serial killers are normal looking guys, we might as well do searches of peoples houses as well..

when obama made his speech tonight? McCain gave an amazing speech and took his loss with alot of integrity, he would have made an awesome potus imo. He has more there imo, more personality.

Confounding the pundits and pollsters, Senator John McCain last night romped home to a stunning victory in the most important contest in American politics; The Award for Best Concession speech. Standing before a crowd of literally several people, Senator McCain gave a speech that was dignified, generous, and deeply personal. In Mr McCain’s home state of Arizona, supporters were still partying in the streets at six in the morning. “We just think it’s an historic day.” Says McCain supporter Lucy Lovitz “McCain is the oldest man to give a concession speech, and he’s proved that in America, anything is possible”. When asked to give her favourite movement in the speech, Lucy said “I can’t pick one moment, it was a truly amazing speech. But when he mentioned Barack Obama’s name and they booed and he held out his hands to silence them I just thought “Wow. He would have made such a good president”.

Of all the things to complain about, you're complaining about police officers stopping people who are very potentially a serious risk to themselves and everyone else on the roads?
