I fully realize McCain won't win...hell, I didn't even vote for him. I just take issue with the bullshit election coverage from start to finish.
Then don't watch it dude, they have plenty of ratings this late in the game.
You really don't get it, do you?

It's not about watching it. It's about the power that those broadcasts have and the cavalier attitude the take when "calling" races when there are 0, ZERO, NONE, NADA, ZILCH data to back it up. That's what has caused problems in voter turnout in the past...only the Dems screamed about it back then.

Totally irresponsible...and completely unaccountable for their "analysis".

^^So true, FEOS. they keep calling states with very little information to back it up.

Who remembers when the Tribune printed a headline with incorrect election results because they were so jumpy?

Or reinforce the view.

A vision without funding is hallucination.

The whole ploy was that he's just "smooth talk" with no plan. He's got one, and he proved it.

That being said - VA and NC are very, very close still. Should be interesting.

The error in 2004 was the early polling and early celebrating.  Media did not make projections with an exit poll taken on election day.

Okay, I have checked, and not only are the Democrats looking like they will win the Presidency, but it appears they will also have a commanding lead in the house (51 seats) and the Senate (16 seats).

I have voted, so I did my part.  But what it means now is that I can lean back, conscience-free, and blame everything that happens from January on for the next 2 years on the Democrats, since the Republicans can not do a single thing to stop them.  I will concentrate on surviving, and hope the situation will not be beyond recovery when the pendulum swings back.  Maybe 4 years of Obama will not be a terrible thing, in the long run.

I hope.

I didn't read the first 14 pages of this thread, but have we done the thing where people say they are really excited about how we're going to have socialism in the U.S.A. now? Cos if we haven't done that yet, now would be a good time.

this is the last i'll say on this because i think you are a good dude from things i have read in here... and i'm not upset with you personally...
i'm just really concerned with his ideas that have been proven not to work... Jimmy Carter for one tried them... it wasn't fun...

I'll say this... i'll give him the benefit of the doubt and i hope like heck he proves me wrong.... not likely with pelosi/reid etc...
time will tell... I'll survive... i work hard and i live within my means... and i hope everyone else does also...    peace
