ok....an exit poll is different than an opinion poll because the person is asked directly after they have voted.

exit polls in 2004 said kerry was ahead

not opinion polls, exit polls.

no regardless about it man, Im talking about exit polls and you arent and they are two majorly different things
well, even looking AT exit polls, they seem to indicate a Bush win as well

so I'm really not sure what you're trying to get at...

I think you are trying to prove me wrong using links. I could grab links too that say the opposite of what you are saying, not only that, I still remember the news from that night.

Perhaps, we could merge the 2?  By the way, I bow to your superior format...

Well, naturally you need to provide links if you're using a poll as a source...

I'm simply going off of what has been right in the past and has been accurate. RCP has been, and very much so.

I think nothing means anything until the votes are tallied.

Yep, RCP is about as accurate as it gets.

It assumes the battleground states.. that's the only problem I have. Some states are way too close to call.

Consistent polls are usually accurate. And even then, don't write them off entirely.

Case in point. ACT local/state election a few weeks ago.

Last poll shows the Greens were on track to win four (of a total of seventeen) seats. Everybody thought 'ha, no chance'.

The Greens won four seats.

Moreover: looking at the list of states that are generally considered to be Obama territory that is by and large NOT up for grabs:

California, Connecticut, D.C., Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin

That makes up 264 electoral votes... just 6 short of the 'magic number'.

one would think it wouldn't pass since, y'know, California has a reputation for being very liberal...

Also, kmarion, isn't it spelled "judgment"?

Is it true that they're putting troops on notice for riots and shit? My mom said her friend's son is a marine, and he is on alert or whatever.
