see... the stars don't care either... lol... I'm so sick of actors and their political opinions... make movies.... sing songs... or run for office
I hate Reagan too.
Reagan was awesome...
Reagan stopped acting and became a politician... supporting my point... sorry you didn't understand...lol where you even alive when Reagan was president?
Reagan was good for Merica. Or so the history books say.
Back to the Future. 'Who's president in the 1980s then?' 'Ronald Reagan' 'Bahahaha...'
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
The sad thing is... big name actors probably do actually know more than the average American.
Now, don't get me wrong. It wouldn't be hard to know more than the average American. It really wouldn't.
But for all the paternalistic bullshit that comes out of Hollywood, I still find the OP a lot more relevant than this rebuttal. I mean, let's face it... The average American really is an idiot. If you don't believe me, shop at Walmart. That's where the average American is.
So honestly, the whole "celebrities telling people to vote" thing might actually have somewhat of an effect on the general public. Most of the rebuttals seem to come from conservatives, but if a video with famous conservative actors came out telling them to vote, they'd eat it up just like the liberal voters often do.
Think about it.... Clint Eastwood is a pretty charismatic guy. So is Arnold Schwartzeneggar. Reagan is the obvious example of a charismatic actor that got people to vote more specifically for him.
So... for better or worse.... actors really do have a significant effect on politics. And they do probably know more than the average American about politics, which again, isn't really a bragging point....
