Hey guys, I have a question. I use to have a modem that had just the computer hooked into it. The game ran like a bute. Just a couple of days ago, my parents switched to AT&T. They have the phonelines in my house hooked into a box that connects with my computer also. I was wondering how I could make this quicker because in some servers my ping went up 15-50% of my normal ping. Do you guys have any tips to make this quicker or no?
Umm... not really sure I understand the question (Yes, I understand what you are telling me, but unless you provide old modem specs (and who you had before) vs new, i can't really tell you if that's the problem), the only thing I can suggest is check to make sure you've used 4-wire instead of 2 from the phone jack to the modem......

We just upgraded 3 days ago to this piece of donkey dung and we can't upgrade for like another year I think. The old modem I had by SBC was a SIEMENS SpeedStream4100 Ethernet ADSL Modem. The new one is a ATT modem that has local ethernet, USB PC, Wireless, Phone 1 and 2, and Broadband on the front. Not sure on the name but could someone look into it anymore details please ask.
