So, is it under the governments discression what websites they deem to be out of bounds? Go skits lads
We already did - at the Sydney Olympics, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra (or whatever they call themselves) played the national anthem for everyone.mtb0minime wrote:
Next thing you know, Australians will only be allowed to have 2 children. And the next Olympics you all can fake some singing at a massive opening ceremony!
The problem is, it was a recording.
And the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra made that recording.

Fucking Victorians always having a whinge.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Only stupid shit that people laugh at happens in the NT so I'm pretty safe from State/Territory associations with stupid things.
Like the car chase that a 12 year old hoon lead the cops on through Darwin.
Or the guy who got done for DD and his financial records showed that he spent roughly $1000 a week on beer. Melbourne Bitter too. Wtf kinda shit taste is that? If you are going to drink a Victorian beer at least make it Carlton. @ the NT M80s.

Classic.
It's stupid stuff like this that would turn some people away from living in a country. I know if this happened I wouldn't think of living in Australia.
Don't they realize they're actually doing damage to their country instead of doing any good? They can't possibly be stupid enough to think the upsides to blocking ALL unsuitable content would surpass the downsides.
Ugh.. It doesn't matter who you are, a politician, average joe, the president of the united states - there's stupid people everywhere you turn.

To be honest we cannot take in many more immigrants.-=]V[-i-n-i-o-n=- wrote:

We done have enough water or housing or jobs.
Sydney is virtually a quagmire of cars, buses and people. Melbourne's public transport is in meltdown.
We cant wash our cars, water our gardens, farmers cant irrigate their crops.
And we are about to move into bushfire season...Australia is a tinderbox just waiting to go up!!
Tbh we need immigrants.
The problem is they stay in the major cities when they are needed to fill jobs in remote communities. Though yeah, housing is vastly short of what it needs to be.
Lastly, LOLOLOLOLNOWATERHURHURHURSUCKSHIT. Got plenty up here in the Top End/North QLD.

And in Toowoomba (south East Queensland) we have over 100,000 people on 11% Dam levelsFlecco wrote:

What for? The unskilled labour market? With the way the employment market is going those jobs might yet be filled by Australian skilled workers.Flecco wrote:

We need rural doctors.
Companies need to start moving out of the cities and into satellite towns.
...but if you guys are having water troubles, shouldn't you limit immigration a lot?Flecco wrote:

Turq, we are having water troubles only in the temperate areas of the country. Up north, where the aforementioned doctors, engineers and quite a few tradesmen are needed, we don't have water shortages thanks to the monsoons and tropical climate.
Australia is just over 3/4 of the size of the USA, most of our roughly 22 million people are on the South East coast concentrated into a few major cities and urban centres. It's no great wonder why we are having water shortages when faced with a drought down there. People need to get out of the cities and develop regional Australia more. That said, poor water management down there hasn't helped.
Idk, maybe I'm just an ignorant Territorian talkin out of my arse but that's my opinion.
@ King Kadaffhi, drove through there with Dad on a holiday when I was around 10, dimly remember it because there were a few women in the street topless. Hippie chicks tbh.
Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
So basically... you have the opposite problem of America. Here, we're way too sprawled out.Flecco wrote:
