Of course they did, but I took the radiological dispersal devices extension, where you use spent uranium as the dirty bomb catalyst.

I did the one where they use the tiny little bit of toothpaste that left in the cap as the catalyst

Yes, a 2L bottle would work as a suppressor (but probably not as well as you think!)
PVC piping and specially sliced tennis balls work much better.


FOR THE US:
It would also be subject to restrictions stemming from the National Firearm Act of 1934 and Gun Control Act of 1968, which means you must have a Federal Firearms License and be a Class 2 Special Occupational Taxpayer (combined, you are looking at $650+ for the licenses, at a minimum).  If you do not have the licenses, and you make a suppressor out of a coke bottle, you have committed a felony with some pretty harsh punishments.
It would be much cheaper to buy a high-quality, reusable suppressor from a licensed NFA dealer!
