I keep getting a no. of random d/cs, So does it affect the connection? Btw If i have an empty phone jack, i need not put a microfilter in right.
i beleive so, I used to have that issue and I ended putting 2 on each line and never had it since.
My line has a clip and it can be pulled out but not fully. So maybe i think it could be the problem even though i didnt touch the damn wire.
I rang my provider when I was having trouble, the help desk asked me to hang up, log in and pick up a house phone. listen very carefully, if you can hear the slightest toning "fax noise, static" your filters are not good enough. I tried this at midnight when all was as quite as a mouse in the house and sure enough I could hear it. popped 2 on BINGO gone. Funny thing is he also said that static can be caused by a certain light/TV/fridge etc turned on your in your house, if a phone line is close enough to a house wire in the walls.
So next time it happens see if anyone has just turned something on.

I get a least one fricking disconnection a day. Tell me is this normal or what. Now i am just using a direct connection my phone port. No microfilters anything. Do i need a T connector to separate?
