New trailer. Also, that DRM sounds fantastic. It might actually work!
Why is that almost every other company BESIDES EA (Ubisoft, Bethesda, Stardock) know how to implement DRM correctly and efficiently or simply do without it?
Not really happy about the 3 PCs part, but at least it should be better than spore.Poseidon wrote:

I plan to have several more though, not expecting to be using this one forever.
I think 3 is fine, I doubt you will get 3 computers in a short time, chances are farcry 3 will be out when you use your last installMiggle wrote:

I still play SS2, Bioshock is out.
I still play Deus Ex, Invisible War is out.
I don't like having a limit on how long I can use their game, especially for the $50 I'm spending on it. If you want to limit the uses, lower the price.
You and me both know Bioshock isn't a sequel to SS.Miggle wrote:

Who else got the pre-order edition from Gamestop?
I know it's coming with the map + 6 extra misions, but does it come with the wooden box + DVDs as well?

Ironically, pirates don't have a hard time with DRM. Downloading a cracked version is cheaper and is less of a hassle than buying it and then having to deal with draconian DRM.Mutantsteak wrote:

A burglar breaks into your house, you grab your gun, you creep into the hall and shoot a figure, its your daughter, the burglar gets away with your stereo.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

You wouldnt have pulled your gun out if noone broke in.
they wouldnt have made DRM if noone pirated the game
They ended up just harming their customers and not the real threat
Gruesome aint it?

They could've made DRM that works FOR the consumers and AGAINST the pirates. They didn't. Their loss.

Is there any way to get the 6 missions and extra map besides preordering the game?
You get 5 installs per computer.VicktorVauhn wrote:

You only get 3 computers.
It doesn't really matter how many installs you have per computer, you get them back when you uninstall.
They're glorifying a DRM system by putting in a bunch of nice looking but really hollow shit. It pretty much just means you can install it on 3 computers and then you're done.
The article says that if you want to update or change the system uninstalling a copy using their utility will give you your install back. Changing the core components of a system is basically the same as using a new computer as far as software is concerned. Its not only 5 installs and 3 computers period, when you uninstall that installation is credited back to you.Miggle wrote:

Every time I see these trailers, I think of the movie Blood Diamond. Nothing wrong with that, either.
Can't fucking wait.
