Does anyone know the figures on how your weapon accuracy decreases when you are moving?  The bf2s accuracy calculation list deviations for different stances but does not appear to address movment.  Does your weapon accuracy stay the same when you are moving in this game?

thanks.

I guess accuracy suck badly when you move, even if you go straight.
I don't think it's the same if you move or not.

No, they don't stay the same. Have you looked at the Wiki? The numbers you're looking for are under Dev. S/C/P

Yes I have, but those figures are for the different stances ie Standing, Crouch, and Prone.  They say nothing about moving WHILE standing, crouched, or prone.

Well shit, that's what I get for not paying attention. pfft...

I'll dig through some files to see if I can't find the answer.

Thanks for looking into this for me NM156!  Oh and dont worry about the "paying attention" part.  I can probably count on one hand the # of times that I actually pay attention during a given day.  Its sad really.

I just looked up the deviation for the L96A1... here's the deviations part:

rem ---BeginComp:SoldierDeviationComp ---
ObjectTemplate.createComponent SoldierDeviationComp
ObjectTemplate.deviation.setFireDev 3.5 2 0.5
ObjectTemplate.deviation.minDev 5
ObjectTemplate.deviation.setTurnDev 0 0 0 0
ObjectTemplate.deviation.setSpeedDev 3 0.2 0.2 1
ObjectTemplate.deviation.setMiscDev 2.5 2.5 0.2
ObjectTemplate.deviation.devModStand 2
ObjectTemplate.deviation.devModCrouch 1.5
ObjectTemplate.deviation.devModLie 0.8
ObjectTemplate.deviation.devModZoom 0.005
rem ---EndComp ---

These are the only deviation components that are listed(for this weapon). The movement is probably the setSpeedDev setting. The setMiscDev is anyone's guess.

Thanks for looking that up for me NM156.  I agree that it is pretty tough to tell from that though just what is what.  The speed and/or misc dev's are certainly the two most likely culprits.  Can you please tell me where you found this iinformation so that I can look up the other weapons as well?

thanks

Sure...

Objects_server.zip\Weapons\Handheld\gbrif_l96a1\gbrif_l96a1.tweak

Just extract the Objects_server.zip file to a folder outside of the BF2 folder. All the handheld weapons will be in the \Weapons\Handheld sub directory.

Baised on this nice information by NM156, common sense, and some simple experimentation in game, I'd have to say 100% there is a difference in accuracy from moving/not moving. What I want to know is how big of difference is it between guns like the L96A1 and the P90.
