So, the tv media is obviously bias.

Youtube media isn't credible.

I'll expect you to tell us that Newspapers are written by journalists with socialist agendas next.

I'm sorry I don't use an apostrophe when writing quick responses on a gaming forum. Next time I'll be sure to use proper grammar for you.

Sorry I didn't capitalize the son of God's name. Next time I'll make sure to do that and be very educated and informative through good grammar.

YouTube is just the medium of showing the video. I don't see how it has anything to do with anything.

This forum, all it has turned into, is people bitching about the medium. Whether it's CNN, or Fox, or YouTube. When someone brings up the "source" card, you know that they can't think of anything else or the actual content itself.

You people would make good politicians, always changing the subject on the sly and getting around things.

What has that post got to do with anything?

I still stand by my point that using the "source" card is as lame as all the other cards out there. I'm sure there's a law out there like Godwins law (Nazi's on discussion boards etc..) that talks about complaining about sources.

no, it is not lame skittles.  people develop their views from "news" sources.  why do you think it cost so much to subscribe to janes weekly?  because you actually have to pay people to do a thorough job and report accurately.

The problem with YouTube vids is that you don't know the provenance of them. You at least can assume you know it with news outlets.

BTW, the majority of "source" bitching WRT news outlets are people bitching about Fox as being a worthwhile source. Even if it's an AP story they're running, and even if they have links to what most here would deem "credible" news sources within their stories.

I do enjoy watching Republicans crash and burn but don't rule anything out when it comes to US politics... McCain may pull something (possibly illegal) out of the bag.

I'd say he's the least likely to pull something illegal out of the bag.

I'm not going there, as that was not the implication I was making.

McCain has a history of integrity...his defense of Obama in the face of ridiculous internet-fueled theories being just one example.

That's fair enough. The voter-related controversies of past elections have been more in connection with the Bush administration and with the private companies handling the voting systems... so McCain has no actual connection with that other than he happens to also be a member of the Republican party.

Let's just hope no side resorts to such nefarious acts!

Just what illegal activity are you implying Bush participated in in previous elections? That horse has been beaten enough. The only ones who think there was illegal voting activity also believe the US government was behind 9/11.

Bush didn't have his prints on anything at all and will never be indicted for anything relating to the controversies but he did benefit from them.

Is it not true that private companies were involved in taking care of the voter register in places like Florida and that eligible voters were taken off the register for lame reasons such as driving violations and sharing the same name as a convicted felon? I read a very interesting book called The Best Democracy Money Can Buy by reasonably well respected journalist Greg Palast and he outlines a number of questionable factors in the contracting out of the voter registration system.

It's not tin-hat conspiracy stuff, it's a well considered critique of how such an important responsibility can be contracted out to a private company that may itself be partisan and have its own agenda.

You make it sound like bringing it to court was a bad thing... everyone I've read about the whole messy situation smacks of malpractice and corruption.
