Um...hate to excavate dinosaurs, but I need help:

I need:
  • the weather on April 3, 1860
  • the first Pony Express Rider
  • and the main idea of Act IV, scenes 1-3 of Romeo and Juliet

Edit: nvm, found the first rider.

They are more versatile than HTML.
They are not deprecated by W3C.

Some features are not supported by all browsers.

Then again that probably wasn't helpful, as you posted this more than a month ago...

This is kinda big, but could somebody make me a menu with a minimum of 30 healthy items that would fit in the Canada Food guide?

Give a short description of each item, and it's cost, In Canadian amounts please.

You don't have to make the entire thing, just give me some items and a description. Everyone can help me out, maybe 5-10 items per person that replies.

Karma to all.

Ryan, define what a "food guide" is.

And I'll try finding a price converter for your Canuck money.

I'm kinda stuck...

Did the reparations imposed by Saint-Germain/Trianon after WWI cause the states to be of 'uncertain strength' as stated in the Kissinger Thesis, or were they already bound to be under the hegemony of Nazi Germany due to the still-rising nationalism prevalent in German speakers?

and I need a good quote on some authority saying that Versailles was not to blame for WWII, and a historian view (orthodox preferably) on the matter.

So, I'm kinda desperate.

Who here can name some beneficial aspects of John F. Kennedy's domestic policy?

And yes, I have checked Wikipedia. Help would be appreciated.

I'm not all together sure, but affirmative action, or if that isn't exactly it an improvement of racial relations was one.

I'm out of practice, I really am. Shame on me, being at uni and all.

Here we go.

ƒ(x) = x² + x - 3

Find (i) ƒ(x+1)
       (ii) ƒ(3x)

I think I've got the first one, is it ƒ(x) = x² + 3x - 1 ??

When it comes to the second one, I get confused.

Here's my working so far:

ƒ(3x) = (3x)² + (3x)x - 3   ??

No. Way. You did not just ask that.

f(3x) = (3x)² + (3x)x - 3
= 9x² + 3x - 3

First one is correct.

wow, big bump... i remember making this thread actually...

(i) (x+1)^2 + (x+1) -3
    x^2 + 2x + 1 + x + 1 - 3
    x^2 + 3x - 1
    So yes, correct
(ii) (3x)^2 + (3x) - 3
     9x^2 + 3x - 3

Just put (x+1) or (3x) in for x wherever you see it

woop.

MRI is a sophisticated piece of machinery, used for medical purposes that uses non-ionising radiation. Instead it uses a powerful magnetic field to align the hydrogen molecules in the human body.

a second magnetic field is pulsed through, making the cells momentarily go out of alignment and back in with the main field. different tissue returns to alignment at different speeds, and so uncovers the structure of the human body.
