***Yeah...have a video clip of one of the sharks I swam with...here ya go***
http://www.youtube.com/?v=Nn_HCfxR88k

Well this post is a few days early but a) I can't believe with this many people on the forum there are only 27 "stories" and half them are still BF2, and b) if I dont post again everyone knows why..
In about 32 hours I will be in the water about 111 km east of Taiwan diving a location known as Yanaguni.  Its known for two things, 1) there is a sunken anchient city, 2) hammerhead sharks.  And guess what...its breeding season so there are supose to be hundreds!!!!  I'll be there with my camera, wetsuit, and beyond that I will probably be bait for a big shark.    No cage, no shark suit, and no brains...but hell it should be a rush.
Be back in about a week and once I figure out how to post pictures will add some to this thread, aswell as my post dive trip story.  Later all.

OK, just got back a few hours ago and all I have to say is hammerhead sharks are FUCKING HUGE!!!!  I knew they where bigger then me, but for some reason I was picturing like 10 feet tops....nope we didnt even see one that small.  Try like 15 feet plus!!  The biggest one our guide said was like 8 meters long...and we didnt have schools of 100s but we did drop into a school of about 30 one time.  They would stay out about 80 meters from us and every now and then venture in close, circle around a couple times giving us awesome profile photos..probably because with their eyes on the sides of their heads like they are they have to, and then swim back off.  Now here is the shitty part of the trip..original price was about 1000 bucks, end price 1700....why because in a really bad re-entry my camera got snagged at the bottom of the ladder and when I got up into the boat, the camera ended up dropping in like 180 feet of water.  No luck retriving it.  The guy that dove with me from my work did take photos though...so if anyone knows where/how I can post about 15 seconds worth of video I can add it to this thread to show the sharks.  Only got to dive the sunken city one dive because of bad conditions but oh my gods is it awe inspiring.  It was like floating up to the top of a pyramid in egypt and being able to just look down.  There is no way that thing could possibly be anything other then man-made.  If anyone else ever gets the chance to go dont miss it, Im hoping to save some money and go dive the ruins again in like 6 months.  Once again will be adding photos n stuff, need some pointers on how to actually do that though as my forum skills suck.  Lastly, the island's culture is awesome.  It is like 6 miles long by 2 miles wide, very tiny, but the people are cool as shit.  I havent drank so much and ate so much sushi in my entire time being in japan then I did in those 4 days...well maybe not the drinking part but you get the idea.  And it is really great to be diving where over half the people in the water with you are really cute, really tiny japenese girls.  Makes the view both in and out of the water much more appealing.  Our first night there for example, we finished diving about 5:30 PM, showered, ate dinner at our hotel, met back up with the local staff/other divers (like 8 of us total), and filled in our log books while drinking awamori (kinda like vodka).  From there it was out to get a drink at the bar, where they brought us shashimi (like sushi, but just the cut up fish) when we sat down and we had a few beers and then awamori again.  Decide its time to go home and on the street flag down a local who says he will give us a ride but we need to have 1 drink with him first.  He goes not even half a block and more awamori, more shashimi, and more locals buying us drinks while refusing to let us pay.  My average spending every night was less then $10.  Ok, thats enough for a first post, if this gets some feedback will probably tell more.

Sounds awesome. For hosting pictures, go to www.imageshack.us . Then browse for your picture, and click host it. It will give you the code you need to put into your post. When you hit "Submit" that code in your post will change into your picture.

For hosting videos, go to www.putfile.com . Create an account (Don't worry, accounts are quick and easy to set up and they are free.) and then just host your video and it will give you a link.
