The installer downloads the installer and the patch but when ever I join a server it says this server is for unmodified players please update to the new version? Maybe the patch dosent come with the installer the file was about 1265 MB? So should I download the patch my self? :? :? :?

HAHA I told you the patch is a bitch to work with!
after you've installed sf, you need to reapply the 1.2 patch, as when you install special forces it patches the game to an older version.
So just reinstall patch 1.2 and everything will be fine.
