For years our government has been failing us and WE as a people stand around and take it. When is Congress going to pass the "accountability law" stating that when government officials/ elected officers will get reprimanded or prosecuted for failed duties. The worst thing that can happen to most of these people is that they don't get re-elected and have to ride out a poor approval rating.

That isn't good enough and will only make these people work hard enough and competent enough to scrap by. What I propose is a termination with an emergency re-election law, and to strip them of there assests for elected officials and for hired officials we need to have them immediately fired and not allowed to work in Government again..

So many people just sit around and point fingers when they're is failure in our government.

Well cause We're for the people by the people.. Why can't we get a bill passed to save our selves from the groups with money.. I'm having a bad day at work so I'm blanking on what you call them.. The needs of the many out weight the needs of the few, but all to many times the needs of the few with the money and the loud voice gets the laws..

Yea it's a great idea. But your forgetting this is the real world. Congress will never pass this because it would mean they have to work harder. The only way to save this county is written in the Declaration of Independence:

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government

Violent revolution. But that's a whole new set of problems.

Our system is broke, I guess were going to have to start by electing new congressman and senators and work are way up from there.

Can you trust congress to regulate themselves, no for example, its kind of bullshit that congress can vote to give themselves salary raises 5 times over before they decide to raise minimum wage. Also does anyone else think 4 years in office is too much? I mean, in todays day and age, information and news is transferred so fast, you could probably go every 2 years

Well the only real way for change is to start voting in third parties into lower parts of the government? But you're talking about 60 years of change, and besides we all know that there is so much illegal activity in our elections.

1. how many times can the voice of the people be silenced?
2. how often can you force bills that cost us billions that have no directly positive effect for Americans?
3. how often can you show incompetence without question?

THe falling value of the dollar due to overspending has no effect at all. Because that happened during the bush admin. Oh...yeah no accountability while we're alive. Your right.
