It's the same thing as what Obama did, in terms of the principle of the thing magnitude is irrelevant.
Which is why I said I still don't like it. However, taking the opportunity to meet with someone when they are visiting the US is different than traveling over there for the express purpose of meeting with them.

Watched the news shows this morning and didn't see anything about it. Nor in the evening news, both local and national. They must've missed it.
I heard it on fox, then I heard it on msnbc then cnn.  then I did a google search for "palin afghanistan"  then I brought it up here.

I'm not particularly thrilled with the idea, but it's a far cry from what Obama pulled. I have no idea what she or the McCain campaign hopes to gain from it...all it does is pick the foreign policy scab.
for somebody who says they are undecided,  ever since palin came in the picture all Ive seen you do is defend her and mccain.

How partisan of me to expect equal treatment of both parties...

You can choose to believe me or not. I really don't care. The bottom line is that I'm still undecided, and won't be decided until after the debates are completed and I've done another thorough study of both campaigns' positions on issues.

One big reason I'm still undecided is that neither campaign has provided concrete information on how they would implement their proposals/promises. A lot of platitudes and sound-bites, but zero substance. It's damn near as bad as Ron Paul trying to explain how much money would be saved by pulling all our military forces from overseas bases.
