Does anyone feel that sometimes when u fly choppers in sf it lags like a pig and sometimes it is perfect? Gunning is fine everytime though.I realised that if u continue bf2 sf and dont play vanilla, you wont lag up but once u switch to vanilla and come back to sf, u start to get lag

i have had the same happen with tanks in sf. massive lag, but then it goes away if i switch to the outside perspective camera. then switch back, goes ok for a bit, then massive lag. then switch outside to fix... etc
weird, never used to happen.

Same here, and only on certain maps, while not having the slowest system, AMD64 3500+ and GeForce 6800GT 256MB PCI-E card.

I used to get that massive lag when flying. Just lined myself up for a firing run along the street, tip into it, going down ok for the first 2 seconds, my gunner blazing away, then laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag. 5 seconds later im plastered across the wall and am being called a n00b by everyone who saw it. Then i got a new graphics card. Ahhh my sweet, i shall never leave you again. Now those n00bs can fill there noise holes with my missles.

that happens to me. sometimes it lags when i fly, and others it doesnt. still havnt figured it out...

The other day on Fushe Pass i hopped in a chopper and it wouldnt fly straight, it kept jumping from side to side, but the forward/backward pitch was ok. Checked my ping...under 100... ok looks good, but he chopper wouldn't stay still, uncontrolable rolling. Ended up parking it into a cliff. Gunner was not a happy camper. Thing was it wasnt even like a lag spike or anything, felt more like someone had ripped a piece off my chopper rotor.

I just noticed this today, i flew a chopter and it was very laggy. A little later i flew one again and it was fine

I get the same shit. It's mostly on ghost town tho or maybe i just play that too much...

Really annoying since it only lags when i fly.

For some reason I usually get massive lag while flying. Other times its perfect.

Funny how my best time flying yet it was lagging like crazy but I had enough time to make the right moves for the gunner. The slower I went the better we did.

I feel worse when i get my gunner/passengers killed by the lag. i always make sure I apolasise and explain what happened to them. I know how it feels to have your pilot suddenly crash for no apparent reason.
