The US troops were about to cross the border without a permit? Good reaction from the Pakistani troops.  I say the next person to cross the border without a permit should get shot.
Brainy reply.

So should Al Qaeda or Taliban continue to be allowed to have a safe haven over there?
I guess they must have the right 'permits' to come into Afghanistan attack US /nato troops and then run back over the border.
If they have the permits, its ok.  If they don't, shoot them when the cross the border.

How the hell would U.S troops even know who to attack if they invaded Pakistan? Anybody that shoots at them? It's a little absurd, what exactly were U.S troops looking for again when they crossed during the instance?

Anyway, isn't it well known that the Taliban and Al Qaida, including Osama bin Laden are in Pakistan? So, maybe the U.S are planning an invasion, and are just...Testing the waters for the moment with their recent crossing of the border?

Whoever is carrying a gun and is pointing at them. Hope the rules of engagement is just a/an suggestion/precaution/option, or we will receive more casualties.

Could be because they don't just say "let's cross the border and see what happens". They go after specific objectives for specific reasons.

And no...sorry. There isn't some big invasion plan for Pakistan. We're not doing anything that the Pak Army isn't also doing in the FATA and NWT.

But it could easily escalate out of nothing, esp if the radicals gain power.

How many years of bombings from AQ will it take for them to realize that AQ should be destroyed?  If AQ plays their cards right they could get the U.S. and Pakistan to fight it out.  Unfortunately the Nuke issue will be a huge problem.

With a McCain administration I think we would be more aggressive (moving troops from Iraq to Afghanistan), and forcing the Pakistanis with heavy diplomatic demands.

With a Obama administration I think we would parlay for years while the AQ attacks into Afghanistan continue until the "War on Terror" is won and we withdraw.

well Pakistan needs to decide exactly what its going to do, whether to allow Coalition border crossings to hit AQ targets or get their own men in their to actually do something because if they don't they're just going to pay with more situations like the Marriot bombing.

The Taliban/AQ could bomb Pakistan 24/7 but they'll still hate the US/the West more than the Taliban/AQ. That's the problem with them. What's also bad is that they think that it's the USA's fault this is all happening. They blame the US when the Taliban/AQ bomb something, or do something bad.

Erm, Hello, it was you who supported all this Jihad shit against the Soviets in Afghanistan (and then supporting the Taliban after that), and against the Indians in India. It's typical stupidity on their behalf. Also it's easy to blame a country half way around the world for all your problems (they were also blaming the Indians for everything too) and not to blame yourself.

Even the Iraqi's eventually got pissed off at all the terrorist attacks and started doing something about it (working with the US and getting rid of them) Even when the terrorist problem really was the USA's fault in that case.. I doubt you can hold the Pakistani's to the same level of...decency?
