Oh, and new screens from PES09.... The players look truly awful. With Iniesta not even looking remotely like IRL and Xavi.... well... no comment.
As well as for the goalkeeper gloves... they are a true joke. I would have thought that by now they would have realised how shit and stupid they look....

think I am going for Fifa.
FIFA 09 just looks ace, licensing-wise - the kits have always been top-notch, and the players have certainly looked better over the years. PES hasn't really made the major changes that FIFA has done from its flop in '06.
Your reasons? I'll probably get both, but Fifa first. I haven't had a FIFA game since 98.Jenspm wrote:
and still, I'm getting PES09, and not FIFA09.

The demo difference is already incredible, I don't want to even think how big the game difference will be.

meh whatever gets it going right?
i am going to get a 360 very soon me thinks.
IMO the dribbling in FIFA09 is way too hard, in a match that is, not in the arena, where you can do whatever you want. Plus I WANT to use the fucking d-pad. OMG why not let me customise the controller fully.
Nice one (y)usmarine wrote:

Read the details, you nublet. Complete customisation of controls on FIFA09.
Also, since when do players skip past others with dribbling? There are only a select few in the world who can actually do it, and none of them are in any of the demo teams ( Messi, C. Ronaldo, Aguero ) with the exception of Ronaldinho... and you can dribble with him, it's not as easy as PES, but it's possible.
Still, I doubt they gonna let you use the d-pad, since it's already been used to change the formation i.e. "Ultra defence, Defence, Balanced, Attack, and Ultra Attack". Plus, demo should reflects the full version of the game, controls is a big part of the game, if they aren't going to show it in the demo, I highly doubt it's there. There are only what 2 weeks left?Zimmer wrote:

What they mean by "Complete customisation" is that you can assign the X,O, traingle, square and R2 to whatever you want...you know the once that are available in the demo.
And by dribbling I don't mean doing those fancy tricks. I just want to change directions more freely, and in reality, everyone can do it. I kinda find it frustrating.

Scans of the review:

I'm still gonna be getting FIFA, because I'm after a truer representation of the sport, like it says in the review.
Plus from playing the demo a fair bit, I have to say you dont get the game just deciding that no matter what you do, you wont score, but the cpu team will have one shot and win the game, like happened so often in PES2008
